Description of Data
- Each line in the table represents one printing (citation) of a tune and gives the following information: source (in coded form); year of publication; region of publication; tune number; tune name; attribution; key; voice setting.
- Source: The coded form of the printed source of each citation. Indented codes refer to "subordinate" source (those with the same content as an earlier source).
- Date: The year of publication of this printed source. If in italics, the date is approximate.
- Region: The region in which this source was published: a = North America, e = England, i = Ireland, s = Scotland, o = other regions.
- Tune No.: The HTI number of this tune.
- Tune Name: The name given to this tune in this source, in standardized form. If the tune is unnamed, a page reference is given.
- Text: The coded form of the principal text assigned to this tune in this source.
- Attribution: The person or collection acknowledged as the origin of the tune in this source.
- Key: The key in which this tune is printed in this source.
- Voicing: The voice setting of the tune in this source. For instance, 1/4 means the tune is carried by the first (topmost) of four voices.
